Yesterday's Bread at Jimmy John's

This is what $0.45 can get you...

A great way to cut dating/living costs is eating in. Duh...we all know that, right? One of my favorite kinds of food to cook is anything Italian! And what goes best with Italian?! Italian bread!

You can easily spend $2-$4 on a loaf of Italian bread at the grocery store! Try this instead: Go to your nearest Jimmy John's and ask for a loaf of "yesterday's bread." It's only about $0.45 and the perfect compliment to any Italian/French/American dish! It's slightly crunchy and great when thrown in the oven or toaster oven! I cut my foot-long bread in half longways and in the middle, creating four good sized pieces. You can easily cut  more pieces. I usually butter it and add garlic, oregano and other Italian spices. Sometimes I add mozzarella cheese and toast/broil it face up. Other times I skip the cheese, put the faces back together, and wrap it in aluminum foil before putting it in the oven. LOVE IT! This last method makes it so soft and yummy inside!

Other uses for Jimmy John's bread:
-croutons
-hoagies
-sub sandwiches (that's a no-brainer)
-French toast
-pizza
-chicken salad sandwich
-meatball sandwich

Does anyone know of any other great bread or side dish deals?

Awesome idea! I love Jimmy John's and the main reason I buy subs from them instead of making my own is because I love their bread. I never even thought about them selling their day-old bread. Thanks for the tip!
